Chetana

I regularly go to religious places and everytime, i come across something new to learn. Learning is not only from books, but from people of all ages and experiences and incidents in life. Some change our thinking, some strengthen our beliefs, some add value and some pave the path for new thinking.

One such experience is the meaning of the word "PRADAKSHINA"

PRA-Samastha papala vinasananiki suchakam (Destroys all the sins)
DA - Korikalanni theradam (Fulfillmant of all that we ask for and pray god)
KSHI-Raboye janmalanu suchisthundi (Indicative of future births)
NA- Agnanam nunchi vimukthi prapthi (Realising from the bond of ignorance)

"Yani kanicha papani janmanthara kruthanicha,
Tahni thani pranasyanthi pradakshinam padhe padhe"

Hello Seeta garu,

Stumbled across your wonderful and informative blog.

If you happen to understand telugu, there is a scientific explanation given to the importance of Pradakshina in temples by Dr.Ramakrishna of Gayatri Parivar. It is akin to the Einstein's concept of time-space continuum where he proposed time and space can be contracted and expanded.
Scientific spirituality for the modern masses :-) Check it out at:
